It is true that mental illnesses are becoming common in today's society. Although there are specific root cases behind this problem, effective policies can be adopted to remedy the situation. There are two main reasons why people suffer from mental problems. First and foremost, people nowadays spend a lot of time in social medias like Instagram or Facebook, so they tend to expose to an ideal life that has been illustrated in these platforms, and they sometimes start to compare these ideal lives with their own, which results in life dissatisfaction. Take teenagers and young adults as an example; they spend most of their times on social medias, which can have direct consequences on their lives' satisfaction. Secondly, most people are trying to solve their problems alone, and this loneliness can make them more isolated. More specifically, they feel depression as they feel that no one is there for them to support them. There are, however, some workable solutions to tackle this problem. One step would be encouraging people to limit the time they spend on social media and focus more on their health well-being. For example, do some the activities that help them to feel more relaxed such as reading a good book, watching a movie, or even spending time with their favorite friends. Another viable solution is talking to a counselor to discuss their problems and challenges they face in their lives. If they try to solve everything alone, they will become more isolated in future. Therefore, having a professional counselor can help them to address these issues effectively. In conclusion, due to wide spreading the problem among a lot of people, it can be solved if we adopt some workable remedies.
