Task answer

The line graph, displays the number of tourists visiting a certain Caribbean island from 2010 and 2017. In the graph, we can see an upward trend, meaning as the years went by, the amount of tourists in this island has increased, by taking a closer look, we can estimate that the increase rate of the number of tourists visiting this island between the years 2010 and 2017, is around 300 percent. We can also see a massive jump in the number of tourists from 2016 to 2017, from somewhere in between 2.7M to almost 3.5M, though these numbers are the total number of visitors, we can compare the values and indicate the ones that were staying on cruise ships, and the ones that were on land. The amount of visitors on land took a huge turn in the year 2011, till the year 2015, where it started lowering, not by a significant amount, but yet, it let the number of visitors on cruise ships surpass it. By the year 2017, the number of visitors on cruise ships had increased and surpassed the number of visitors on land, around half a million difference! The total number of visitors, in the year 2010, was only 1 million, it hit 1.5 million in the year 2012, and went on to take over 3.5 million visitors by the year 2017. The massive breakpoint in the number of visitors, was in the year 2015, we see an upright trend for both visitors on cruise ships and on land. The visitors on cruise ships, had a constant increase, meaning over the years, the Caribbean island kept on having more and more visitors on cruise ships, visitors on land however, did at first grow a lot, but it seems like after the year 2015, the number of visitors on land dropped by around 250 thousand visitors.
