Task answer
In this contemporary world, the term urbanization is getting so much attention nowadays. That's why around the world, more people are migrating to the cities leaving a population gap in the countryside. Though it has some concerning drawbacks, I strongly believe that it is a positive development because the urban area offers a plethora of opportunities that villages cannot give also due to industrialization, job openings are much higher in the city side.
Urbanization undoubtedly offers better opportunities as it has a good infrastructure for education, health, and accommodation making it the perfect living space for people. For instance, a mega city of third-world country like Dhaka city has a population of over 200 million. This illustrates the higher living standard offered by the city. In addition, most of the industries are built in centralized urban areas, so people are occupied with more jobs in the city than countryside. A notable example is most of the garment workers have migrated from the countryside to an industry-heavy city in Bangladesh, Gazipur. This contemplates that people wanting a good lifestyle are moving to urban areas.
Nonetheless, the decreasing population of the countryside that is created by this moving of people has created some concerns. Massive migration in the urban areas can cause a heavy density of population in certain places in the country creating a discrepancy in wealth. Because most people are leaving all their assets in the countryside and trying to make it in the cityside so there is an obvious difference in financial conditions to the people already living in the urban area. However, these concerns can easily be solved by imposing a limit to the migration so that the density stays within a certain limit.
In conclusion, while concerns about overpopulation are not without merit, I believe that the benefits of living in an urban area far outweigh the challenges. Moving forward, policymakers and individuals should collaborate to refine the standards of living in the cityside maximizing the positive outcomes while addressing potential drawbacks..
