Task description

The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write a minimum of 150 words.

Task answer

The given chart illustrates the information about the underground railway systems in six different cities namely London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto, and Los Angeles including the opening date, the length of route as well as number of passengers in a year. Overall, it's clear to see that London has the oldest underground railway system as well as the longest route. Meanwhile, Tokyo's railway has the largest number of passengers visited per year. On the one hand, London has been mentioned as the oldest underground railway station, built in 1863, also own the longest route ( 34 Kilometres ). The second place is taken by Paris, built in 1900, it has 199 kilometres of route. Tokyo was built after Paris 27 years, but has the largest amount of passengers ( 1927 millions per year) On the other hand, The newer systems appear in three countries Washing DC, Kyoto, Los Angeles. Washington DC has 126 kilometres of route, and has 144 millions passengers per year. While Kyoto has the shortest length of route( 11 kilimetres) as has fewest customers ( only 45 millions). Los Angeles is the youngest with 28 kilometres of route and 50 millions cusomers a year
