Task description
The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Task answer
The picture illustrates how to produce sugar from sugar cane.
The process consists of 7 steps, classified into 2 phases: growing and collecting sugar cane and using tools to transform raw material into sugar.
To begin with, people grow sugar cane and after a period of 12 to 18 months, they can be harvested. People can collect sugar cane manually or use machines to minimize expense and time-consuming.
In the following step, collected sugar canes are crushed for juice which is then purified carefully with a limestone filter to remove some raw materials. Following this, an evaporator transforms juice into syrup by heat, and then people use a centrifuge to separate sugar from syrup. Finally, the sugar is dried and cooled. The sugar can be used or packaged and delivered for purchase.
