Writing report

The illustrations give us information about how the central library space was structured 20 years ago and how it is today. Overall, the library is still divided into 6 sections, although different functions have been allocated to the spaces. The most notable change is the removal of tables and chairs from the hallway that is continuous with the entrance. On the left side of the diagram, there used to be only one room on the top corner that housed children's books 20 years ago. That space has been converted into a lecture room. Where the enquiry desks stood at the bottom corner providing tickets and book returns services another room was built, which became a cafe. The adult non-fiction books area changed into the adult fiction books space, with the addition of an information desk and 3 self-service machines. On the right side of the floor plan, whereas the locations of the two rooms remained, which are the bottom and top corner, their functions modified. Where the reading room containing newspaper and magazines used to occupy the computer room was set up. The area storing CDs, videos and computer games was converted into a space where storytelling events are held, with sofas and children's fiction books. The adult fiction books section, located in the middle space, now housed all reference books.
