Task description

The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write a minimum of 150 words.

Task answer

The table compares the expenditures for three categories in 5 different countries in the year 2002. Overall, the largest amount of money in all of these countries is spent on food, drinks, and tobacco, and the lowest percent of their money is used for Leisure and education. The second priority for people in all of the mentioned countries is clothing and footwear, but it is still under 10 percent in all of them. According to the table, in Turkey, People spend their money on Food, drink, and tobacco, more than in the other countries, and it is 32.14 percent. After the turkey, Ireland is in the second place with 28.91 percent. In Sweden, people are spending their money on food, drink, and tobacco, half of the people in Turkey, and it is the lowest percentage among these countries. On the other hand, although the largest range of expenditures for food, drink, and tobacco is in Turkey, the highest rate of money, which is spent on leisure and education is in Turkey too. The least amount of expenditures for leisure and education is spent in Spain, and it is only 1.98 percent of their money.
