Task answer
The figure illustrates the contributions that food, clothes and leisure/education had on buyers' budget in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002.
Overall, the money spent on food, drinks and tobacco accounted for the highest percentage expenditure of consumers in all five countries. Turkey citizens used the largest part of their income on the recorded indexes.
Nourishments and tobacco contributed the most to the money spent by the Turks out of all five nationalities at 32.14%, followed by Irishmen at 28.91%. In contrast, the buyers of the other three countries only expediated less than a fifth of their budget on these items. Outerwear accounted for the second-most popular spending, which Italians used 9% of their revenues on, the largest percentage out of all the recorded countries. The least expensive items of entertainment and education were only accountable for less than 5% of the consumers expenditure in all studied areas, reaching as low as 1.98% in Spain.
Uniquely, no buyers from any country devote as much money on any of these parameters than Turkey, and as little as Sweden, standing at 43.12% and 24.39%, respectively.
