Task answer

The bar charts compare the proportion of Australian citizens living in three residential areas over 25 years, recorded with people who born outside or inside Australia. Overall, it is noticeable that most people lived in cities in both years, in which foreign residents were the major population. Moreover, all figures observed decreases in their rate, except the percentage of urban citizen. Beginning with domestic residents, most people stayed in cities for their life, with 50% in 1995, before moderately rose to approximately 65%. The converse trends were recorded with the figures for towns and rural areas. In 1995, with every five people, one of them was from the towns, while the share for rural population was 30%. Subsequently, the latter year experienced a decline for both rates, with around 15% for both figures. Regarding the foreign citizens, it was the main contributor for the urban population in both times, with 60% in 1995, gradually lower than 80% in the next 25 years. Similarly, foreign population was also the majority in rural areas, where two out of five people lived there were foreigners. However, the figure plummeted dramatically to only about 5% in the latter period, becoming the lowest figure of the foreign chart. Finally, commencing from just more than 10% in the first year, the rate of towns' citizens remained unchanged over the 25-year period.
