Task answer
Children are often encouraged to try hard, so that they can accomplish any goals and pursuits. Albeit these messages can foster children's tenacity and diligence in their curriculum and future career, children can also suffer from the numerous amount of stress from adult's expectations. In this essay, I will interpret the positive and negative perspectives of these messages, with explainations and examples.
On the one hand, adults' encouragement can play a vital role in motivating children to raise their determination for their ambitions. This can be predicated on the assumption that children who lack parent's hooks often loss their interest and industrousness in the learning process. Without understanding the vitality of education in the future life, many young students are overusing their time for recreational activities, such as playing games or watching movies, rather than being determined to study for their developments. Therefore, they may lack adequate intellectual and practical abilities for their future occupations, and prone to suffer from impoverishment without any jobs. Hence, to avoid these detrimental consequences, children should be usually encouraged to concentrate on studying, rather than wasting too much time for playing.
On the other hand, adults' messages can be misunderstood as expectations, resulting in stress and anxiety. To exemplify this statement, we can consider the Asian education system, in which students are usually suffering from adults' expectations. Despite being wisely adviced to be hard-working in every circumstance, children are often forced to achieve pretigious prizes, achievements, or medals. Furthermore, with the effects of peer-pressur, they may force themselves to study for hours to catch up with their friends. Consequently, these actions can threaten their health and cause numerous mental disorders, such as autism or depression, undermining students' lives or even leading to suicide.
In conclusion, encouraging children to try hard to chase their dreams is indispensable for stimulating their unwavering determination and passion. Nevertheless, these encouragements can be counter-productive, abundantly causing more stress for students in their lives.
