The figure provides us information on Garlsdon town where a new shopping center is going to be built, in one of the two viable areas. Overall, the supermarket can be set up in the town center or in the countryside. Both are situated close to the railway, providing relatively easy access for buyers in the surrounding areas. The first possible location for the building is the southern countryside, where there are several benefits attached. First, it is located near the residential area and the railroad, making it attractive to locals. Moreover, the close proximity to the main road to Hindon enables it to expand the customer base to the Hindon population of 10000 people. Similar to the first site, the second location in the town center also brings huge advantage. There are three main roads leading to Garlsdon downtown from Hindon, Bransdon and Cransdon, which are all hugely populated towns of 10000, 15000 and 29000 citizens, respectively. This location allows for a potentially wider customer base. However, due to the middle of Garlsdon being a no traffic zone, leaving the single path to the supermarket being the rails, coupled with the relatively long travelling distance to the three towns (12km, 16km, and 25km in aforementioned order), the clientele may be somewhat reduced.
