The illustration demonstrates the production of sugar using sugar canes as a initial ingredient. Overall, there are seven steps in the sequence, starting with growing and harvesting sugar canes, followed by crushing them to cane juice, and ending with produced sugar. The first four steps involves the transformation from plant to juice of canes. Initially, the sugar cane has had to grow for 1-1.5 years, before being harvested by hand or mechanical harvester. After this, it is squashed in crushing machine to become canes juice. Subsequently, the juice is purified, ready for the next stage. The remaining steps produce sugar. In evaporator, water in purified cane juice evaporates after being applied heat, leaving remaining mixture in a syrup form. In the following step, sugar crystals are divided from syrup after undergoing a process in centrifuge. Eventually, the extracted sugar crystals are dried and cooled to form the last product, sugar.
