Task answer
The given pie chart illustrates the destinations of Anthropology graduates from a single university after completing their undergraduate studies, while the accompanying table provides information about their salaries after five years of employment in three sectors: freelance consultancy, government, and private companies.
Overall, the majority of graduates entered full-time employment, while a smaller proportion pursued furth
er studies or remained unemployed. Regarding income, government sector roles appeared to offer the highest salaries after five years, followed closely by freelance consultancy.
According to the pie chart, just over half (52%) of Anthropology graduates secured full-time work. A further 15% combined part-time work with postgraduate study, whereas 12% opted solely for full-time postgraduate education. Part-time employment alone accounted for 8%, the same percentage as those whose post-graduation status was unknown. Only 5% were unemployed, suggesting a relatively high employability rate.
Turning to salary distribution, 50% of Anthropology graduates working in the government sector earned over $100,000 annually after five years, the highest proportion across all sectors. Freelance consultants followed closely, with 40% earning in the $75,000–$99,999 range and another 40% earning above $100,000. In contrast, private companies had the lowest percentage of top earners (30%), although the majority (35%) earned between $50,000 and $74,999.
In summary, most Anthropology graduates found full-time work, and those in the government and freelance sectors had a higher likelihood of reaching six-figure salaries compared to those in private companies.
