The first graph compares the electrical devices' possession rate. Meanwhile, the second illustrates how many hours weekly are spent for household chores. Overall, it is clear that every appliances became more popular over the period examined, with refrigerator witnessing the most significant trend. Oppositely, less time are spent for houseworks gradually. Concerning the ownership of familial devices, while refrigerator used to be the least used application in 1920, with almost no households utilizing it, its popularity surged over the following years. It was recorded that the possession rate of refrigerator surpassed both washing machine and vacuum cleaner around 1940, at more than 60%, before reaching a perfect of 100% since 1980 to 2019. The figures for washing and vacuuming devices experienced the same incremental pattern, but to a lesser extent, with respective figures being 40% and 30% in 1920. Afterwards, while every family possesses vacuum cleaner at the end of the period examined, washing machine was not as popular, with its ownership percentage fluctuating around 70% from 1960 to 2019. Regarding the time spending for houshold chores, it is clear that thanks to the increased usage of electrical appliances, fewer time is demanded for this. Houseworks used to account for 50 hours weekly on average in 1920, after which this number fell sharply to 20 hours in 1960. Subsequently, the decreasing trend continued but slowed down from 1960 to 2019, when only 10 hours per week are allocated for these chores.
