Task description

The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Task answer

The first bar chart compares the driving factors to pursue education among five different age cohorts. Meanwhile, the second illustrates the employer assistance they received. Overall, while the younger groups tend to study for their job prospect, enthusiasm is the leading reason as they get older. Additionally, those under 26 has the highest chance to receive either financial aid or time off in their employment. Regarding the reasons for enrolling in higher education, career is recorded to be the primary one. For the three youngest cohorts (under 26, 26-29, 30-39), more than half of these put career future forward, with respective figures being 80%, 70%, and nearly 60%. In contrast, only 10% of those under 26, 15% of those from 26 to 29, and 25% of those from 30 to 39 study for personal interest. The figure for those oldest age group (over 49) witnessed the opposite trend, with 70% learning according to their own enthusiams while ony below 20% for occupation. For people aging from 40 to 49, the reason distribution is more balanced, having those aiming for either career or interest both comprise 40%. Concerning the remaining graph, the employer aid varies by age groups. Young employees under 26 tend to receive the highest chance of getting support, at about 62%, while this proportion drops to percisely 50% for those from 26 to 29. Oppositely, The least assisted age cohort ranges from 30 to 39, with only about 30% receving financial aid or time off. Meanwhile, the figures for older workers are slightly higher, at nearly 40% for the 40-49 cohort and approximately 45% for who above 49.
