The map illustrates the changes in the layout in the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and at present. Overall, while all existing facilities had been relocated, technological and service areas had been added to the central library. Additionally, the four main rooms had been changed and became disproportionate in size. At the center of the library, although the main entrance remained unchanged, all the tables and chairs have been removed to create an open space for visitors. On the southwest corner, the reading room for newspapers and magazines has been transformed into a modern computer room. Regarding the northwestern room, which used to be a CDs, videos, computer games room, it has been added more sofas and enlarged to serve different purposes, from holding storytelling events to storing children's fiction books. On two sides on the center, an area for all reference books has been built while adult fiction books, an information desk and self-services machines have been added on the right side. Furthermore, the enquiry desk on the bottom right of the map has been reconstructed and a cafe has been newly built on this location. In addition, there was a notable change from the area for children's book to a lecture room on the northeast side of the library.
