The two floor plans illustrate how a public library has been redesigned over the past 20 years. Overall, the layout of the library has undergone substantial renovations, with only the main entrance remaining the same. Children's books room has been converted into lecture room, and the tables and chairs in the central sitting area have been removed. To the immediate right of the main entrance, the formerly Enquiry desk handling tickets and book returns has been transformed into a cafe. The Information desk has moved to the middle central area, along with the adult fiction section and self-service machines. Moreover, the children's sector has been replaced by the lecture room, while now the children's ficiton books are featured in the designated area for storytelling events with a provision of sitting areas in the top left corner. This space was previously designated to computer games and videos. Additionally, the adult fiction books section has been replaced by a section covering all reference books. It is notable that all areas except for the new cafe have been redesigned, whether in purpose or in the structure of the room. For instance, the door frame of the computer room to the left of the entrance has changed over the past 20 years.
