Task description
Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a sic-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner. Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter, say how long you now want to rent the apartment for, explain why your plans have changed, tell the owner about a problem in the apartment.
You should write a minimum of 150 words.

Task answer
Dear owner,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to request to extend my period of stay in the apartment. The original rental agreement was for a period of six months. During that time, my job was on a temporary contract for six months. However, the company decided to extend the contract for 1 year. Due to these circumstances, I would like to request for extension of my rental agreement to one year. Additionally, there is a concern regarding the apartment that I would like to address here. The tap in the bathroom keeps on leaking and it is a waste of water. I would really appreciate if you can kindly contact the building management and request to fix it.
I hope you understand my situation and approve the extension of my rental agreement to one year as soon as possible. I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon. Thank you.
