Task answer
While many individuals rather to live in a house, others claim apartments to be more convenient. In this essay, I will contrast both advantages and disadvantages for houses and apartments and share my thoughts on my preference.
On one hand, the biggest advantage of houses in contrast to apartments is their size. The space of houses encourages its residents to boost their bonds because each member has more privacy thanks to the size of the residence. According to the Instituto Nacional de Estadística in the 90% of houses, residents don’t share bedroom, what leads to more intimacy. In addition, houses enable residents to enjoy a more valuable shared free-time as it has better common zones such as living room, kitchen and garden.
Besides this, the biggest disadvantage for houses is their price. Houses’ value has experienced a surge in the last 5 years. According to Idealista.com, since the COVID pandemic, prices have skyrocketed placing beyond one million.
On the other hand, the biggest advantage for apartments is the price. This residences can be found in centric urban areas for economic prices. According to Idealista.com apartments in average are up to a 50% cheaper than houses. In addition, although apartments are smaller, they bring within it that a high maintenance is not needed.
In contrast, neighbors have to be taken into account always, it’s important for apartments’ residents to take care of them and to maintain a good relationship.
In conclusion, although houses have high costs in contrast to apartments, I rather to live in a house as I think intimacy is crucial for well-being and mental health.
