It has long been a matter of discussion whether authorities must introduce some policies to control the global warming or people need to change their day-to-day routine to prevent the world from upcoming damage. As such, there are both merits and demerits of this trend, although I am of the opinion that the former outdo the latter. There are a number of arguments in favor of my stance. The most preponderant is that government has the power to introduce strict policies to control climate change. Thanks to media people and scientists, not only can authorities compare the geographical situations worldwide, but they can also step forward by enforcing strict laws against the usage of toxic products that lead to temperature disturbance in environment. To illustrate, the government of America have recently launched a policy that called "Carbon Rebate", to check on global warming and any offender to this policy may end-up facing long time sentence. Hence, it is apparent why government role is on priority to deal with this soaring concern. However, individuals are not properly aware of the current effects of the climate change due to the half information provided by the news channels, and less sources available online with current scenarios regarding environment change. Thus, people do not take this issue seriously. Moreover, public cannot take any measurement alone if there will be zero government support, as sometimes they may face backlash from organisations. To exemplify, a bullet fire was set on a gathering in 2023 in India who was protesting against a business who was going to cut down a dense forest to construct a shopping mall. This shows why government influence is also important in such a sensitive matter. To conclude, I believe, the arguments outlined above succinctly illustrate that advantages of government presence in controlling climate change and prove that it is an indispensable part of the world today.
