Task answer

The number of people visiting famous destinations to capture themselves in pictures, without knowing the places, is increasing. The main factor that account for this trend is social media. As such, there are both merits and demerits of this trend, although I am of the opinion that it is a beneficial movement that enhances economy of the countries. To begin with, social influence is the most preponderant reason of this soaring concern. Most of the time, people love to explore and relax at new areas after following a busy working schedule. Due to public platforms, not only can tourists push themselves to visit the same places as presented by the influencers, but they can also trust them blindly because of their fan following. To illustrate, a study in America on a group of travellers to the "Taj Mahal" in 2023 revealed that almost 75% of them were visiting the place after watching its pictures online. Nevertheless, Individuals like to travel to different destinations, however, the places are of their social media star's choice. There are a number of arguments in favor of my stance that this growing pattern is positive for those economies that attract multiple tourists worldwide. With overseas travellers, a specific country gains popularity due to its publication on different public platforms that result in growth around the area of that nation. Besides, some individuals only travel to capture lifelong memories in the form of pictures. To exemplify, recently a search team in India has found an old picture of the great freedom fighter of India," Shaheed Bhagat Singh" from a historic building that is attracting worldwide tourists to visit and add some memories. Hence, it is apparent why taking pictures is a good move. To conclude, I believe, the arguments outlined above succinctly illustrate the causes and advantages of taking photographs at different locations and prove that it is an indispensable part of the world today.
