Task answer
In recent years, the entertaiment sector has experienced a surge alongside the revolution of the internet. Therefore, many celebrities are paid outrageous salaries, what has posed many individuals against entertainers, as these individuals claim that entertainers earn too much. In this essay, I will share my thoughts on this statement and I will propose other types of job to be highly paid.
As long as entertainers earn according to what they generate to their managers or contractors, I disagree with those who state that celebrities are paid too much. Celebrities’s contractors such as soccer teams, make millions of euros thanks these entertainers. For instance, Real Madrid would have never won 5 «Champions League» in the past 10 years if the soccer team hadn’t had stars as players such as Cristiano Ronaldo. These wins reported Real Madrid beyond 200 millions of dollars. Stars earn millions as they generate it, and I cannot blame anyone for being paid according to what they fairly produce.
In spite of this, there are many other types of job that should be highly paid as they play key roles in sectors strictly related to our development as society. Between all types of jobs I will remark two: doctors and teachers, as our present and future rely on them. On one hand, healthcare is fundamental to our well-being. With lack of attention and funds on healthcare, we cannot enjoy the present and our beloved ones. On the other hand, education is the sector of society in charge of building the future and mantaining and fostering our values to new generations. A lack of attention in these two sectors could lead with the end of modern society as my generation understands it. For example, in Iran, the society development boosted in the 70s was undermined by a focus on militar development. These new funds allocations made health and education weak sectors, what ended up destroying their democratic society.
In conclusion, celebrities such as Real Madrid stars earn according to what they generate to their contractors, therefore I disagree with the initial statement. However, we cannot forget of key sectors such as health and education, so we should raise up doctors and teachers’ salaries for the development of society
