"A dream house" is different in every society and every country. An image of a perfect place to live depends on the climate, culture traditions, economics, and other things. For example, Chukchi who live on Far North, prefer to live in traditional chums, while people in Moscow and other big cities prefer to live in blocks. In this essay I will describe an ideal housing in the country there I live, in Russia. Russia is famous for its harsh climate: the winter here is very long and cold. This fact influences Russian people's choice: they value a housing for energy efficiency. The warmer is the place to live, the better this place looks for Russians. In some regions blocks of flats are warmer than private houses, and people choose to live in an apartment. Some regions are well known for their traditions of house building, and houses are more popular there than flats. House has advantages of spending a long winter here: a stove or a fireplace bring warm and cozy atmosphere, while an apartment has only central heating. Meanwhile, apartment residents are not obliged to monitor the technical services of the house. They can call a service to repair faucets, heating, plumbing, sanitary engine, while house owners do that by their own. Another positive fact about apartments is that the home maintenance is significantly cheaper. To conclude, choosing a best housing in Russia depends on a region, culture traditions, the cost of house maintenance and other important factors. The ideal house can look like a yurt - the dwelling of steppe nomads, or a flat on highest floor of a skyscraper in center of Moscow.
