Some countries around the world are facing an increasing rate of unemployment among the new generation. This is because, although they are getting a higher degree, most of them are unable to fulfil required skills for the current job market. To solve this issue, local government should take proper steps. Conspicuously, getting a higher degree is not everything to get a good job. One clear reason is that the current world is fully based on AI, where proper knowledge is the most important part. Furthermore, most of the alpha generation people are more concerned about their social life, and followers instead of skills, while they are studying in the university. Plus, they also sometimes judge people by their followers on social media to join their group instead of skill. For instance, in any job sector if someone gets a job by their certificate, but the improvement will fully depend on their skill and knowledge. However, this issue can be solved in a very basic way by the local government. If they provide compulsory skill courses in the education system from the beginning of school life, then this issue will never arise in the future. Besides that, for the current generation the government can initiate a program, where everyone will learn their required skill to survive the recent fast-paced world. For example, during the time of covid-19 the government of Bangladesh provided free courses to everybody to learn freelancing, so that nobody fully depends on the government, and can earn their own money. To conclude, a higher degree is not always the ultimate way to shape someone's future, to give a proper jump in life we also need to update ourselves according to the current world by learning different skills, and local government can enhance this opportunity of learning by providing different skill based courses.
