Recently the percentage of youth unemployment has been increasing worldwide. Several reasons can be attributed to this matter, and many methods can be implemented to improve employment opportunities. Several factors play a role in increased unemployment rates. One factor can be attributed to the economical situation and issues worldwide. For example, over the past 5 years, the covid pandemic, along with political instability and wars, has led to a decline in economic growth and an increase in inflation. Besides that, rapidly growing population levels meant an increase in individuals seeking higher levels of education, which meant that certain job vacancies were filled quite quickly with high competition all around. There is a huge gap between jobs available and individuals that are qualified for this job. Technological advancements recently have also substituted manpower in certain jobs and fields. Companies now prefer using AI to cut down costs and improve production and efficacy. However, certain steps can be implemented to improve opportunities. This includes governments encouraging further business investments, which in turn means more job vacancies. Also, since small businesses have been struggling recently, loans could be given to improve survival rates and prevent them from closing down. Certain areas have labor shortages in my different fields; therefore, it's important for the youth to seek careers in such fields. Developing further skills and possibly learning different languages can all help in providing job opportunities. In conclusion, although economic difficulties have left the youth in a difficult situation regarding employment, seeking different fields along with developing further skills can all help in improving career opportunities at an individual level, along with the government's investment plans to improve the economy and fight inflation.
