Writing report

Dear Sir/ Madam, I am writing to express my interest to move into Quality Assurance department within the company as a part of my planned career development. I have been working as a Quality control inspector for the past two years. During my role in Quality control department, I have gained extensive experience in inspection of first-piece, final and receiving inspection. I have learnt key skills required for inspection process which includes, interpreting drawings, GD&T and CMM programming. This role has significantly enhanced my skills in decision making and critical thinking, both of which contributed in meeting department targets. A transfer to Quality assurance department would allow me to test my decision making skills and further developing them. The analytical experience gained could support the department in data-driven analysis, which improves the overall quality of the company. My knowledge in root cause analysis would help to identify the quality defects in advance, which I believe is the primary duty of a Quality assurance engineer. Staying within the company is of great importance to me, as its culture of innovation and professional support align with my career values.
