Task description
With the increase in plastic pollution, especially in oceans, debate arises on who should take responsibility for environmental conservation. Is it predominantly a government duty, or do individuals also have a significant role to play? Explain your stance in at least 250 words.
You should write a minimum of 150 words.
Task answer
Plastic pollution in lakes and rivers is increasing day by day, and the question is, whether it is just the government who is responsible for taking the necessary actions, or a common man can contribute to make it better. I strongly believe that the efforts are needed from both the sides to make a difference.
Increasing use of plastics and water pollution is raising questions for the residents of the country, whether they need a healthier environment for their children OR an unhealthy nation for anyone to live in years to come. It is rightly said that one should never underestimate the power of a common man, and public must wake up to the reality and ensure that the plastic is not used in our daily life. Also, they must ask questions if it is being used OR if it is not being disposed off properly.
On the other hand, central government must put a ban on plastic and make sure that the state government is fully aligned and following their decision. Also, there should be strict rules and fine for people using it and throwing it into the water in the nearby breaches, rivers, and lakes.
To conclude, god gave human a life close to the nature, but humans are running after money, forgetting the basics, and choosing a disaster for the next generations to come. It is everyone's equal responsibility and accountability to keep our environment clean, and a ban on plastic must be imposed by the government, and to be followed by the common man.
