Task answer

People think in different ways for living in a house and an apartment. Some people believe that living in a house is preferable to living in an apartment. In fact, living in a house is desirably more favourable than living in an apartment, but there are still some good points for living in an apartment. First of all, living in a house provides a more spacious environment for living comfortably. Generally, there is more than 2 bedrooms and a big living room in a house, especially some include a basement and two to three levels of accommodation. Thus, the living condition inside a house is more pleasant than that of a flat. For storing of items, such as clothing and electrical appliances, a house could be suitable for more than four people family members. Some houses have a balcony, a garden and a rooftop for more activities such as barbeque and doing exercises. The provision of entertainment is more diverse. However, some issues living in an apartment could not be found in that in a house. For instance, the security level of an apartment should be more advanced and reliable as there are usually security guards to safeguard the residents in an apartment. For a house, the security alarm or system is the core security measurement, which might have defects. Moreover, the cost of living in a house should be more than that in an apartment, in terms of paying the bills for water and electricity. The total estimated amount of money spent on maintaining a house could be a burden to the residents, according to the larger area of living areas. In conclusion, living in a house could provide a better living environment than living in an apartment. But due to maintainence cost and expenses on water and electricity bills, we cannot neglect that the advantages of living in an apartment could be greater than those of a house. As a resident, the purchase or rental capacity depends on his or her financial support to afford the expenses, regardless of the degree of convenience and comfort.
