Some individuals believe that it is more advantageous to live in a house whereas few others are of the opinion that residing in an apartment is more beneficial. I would be discussing the pros and cons of these picks in the upcoming paragraphs. Residing in a house and having your own space certainly has an upper hand. Residents that live in a house can enjoy the privacy that comes with it. They will also be able to benefit from having a backyard. This would enable them to have family reunions, get togethers and also have space for their pets to run around. For instance, when I was doing my undergrad, I stayed in my family house with my dog. My pet had a lot of room to run around and exercise and I was able to host a couple of events in my house. While having a massive space all to yourself can sound tempting, there may be some disadvantages associated with it. Firstly, People residing in homes may find it quite frustrating to clean it and can be time consuming. Secondly, I personally believe houses lack good security and can be easy accessible by outsiders even if it has a compound wall around it. I've had the privilege of staying in an apartment and in my family home and I would pick living in an apartment any day over living in a house. I never had to worry about calling a plumber or an electrician over to my place but this was handled by my property manager which significantly removes a lot of stress. I personally feel that staying in an apartment is much safer as the previous one I lived at had two security guards and people could only enter using a key card. With that being said, what i miss the most about my family house is that I am unable to host events / parties without it being a disturbance for my neighbors. When you live in an apartment, you must adhere to the policies of of your building. In conclusion, living in an apartment or a house can be a boon or a bane depending on an individuals needs and what they are looking for.
